Just a typical bulldog ... with a not so typical life.

“It is easier to build strong children, than to repair broken men.” Frederick Douglass

This is my purpose, my vision for building emotionally, spiritually and mentally strong children.  A purpose driven by my personal life's journey of abandonment at birth, foster care, and adoption into an environment of multiple abuses.   I was an emotionally, spiritually and mentally broken child.  I now know that by intentionally investing value and significance into the lives of children today, they will change the world tomorrow.    As the founder and developer of   K9 Character Development, and the author of the children’s book series The Frankie Files: Stories of a Misunderstood Bulldog, I use my gifts of writing, speaking and creativity to be a positive influence in the world.       My life’s journey has brought 20 years of leadership experiences within Children's ministries, and provided the opportunity to develop, produce and direct a student theater arts camp, as well as directing a mobile character development program targeted at elementary age students.  14 years’ experience as an Educational Coach, and  my current positions as a Para Educator in the Special Education field has given me a unique perspective of various educational environments.   As a certified Crisis Response K9 team, titled AKC Therapy Dog handler, registered and certified in conjunction with national and local pet therapy organizations, and founder of Franklin and Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Partners, I provide services for schools, hospitals, children's advocacy centers, hospice, and other various clients. I hold an AA degree in Business Administration and Management, am an Independent Licensed and Certified John Maxwell Team speaker as well as a  Certified YouthMAX Facilitator and possess a passionate gift for writing.  My writing encompasses personal growth for adults through autobiographical stories, as well as a children’s story series built on character development skills.

And in all of this, my greatest accomplishment, joy and treasure in this life, is my family.  A marriage of 29 beautiful years, and the blessing of two beautiful daughters has written an extraordinarily beautiful story of unending love and self-discovery of where my treasure is, there my heart will be also.
